Winchester Bay, ORIf I had to choose a coastal town that has impacted my life the most, this would be it! For years I have been coming to Winchester Bay to enjoy the ocean and crabbing with my life long friend Jeremiah! He and I consider ourselves brothers as we have not only grown up together but gone through life together!

Traditions of AppetiteWe never make a trip to Winchester Bay without getting coffee at the local roaster. Following that, how can you go to the ocean without getting a bowl of clam chowder?!
The Crabby Cafe was started by Patrick before he retired from guiding fishing expeditions out of Winchester Bay. As far back as I can remember, the Crabby Cafe has been there and always been amazing! |
Local CultureGenerally speaking, when you go out into public you don't have very many conversations with people you don't know. But at the coast, something breaks down those walls.
On the crab dock, there are very few strangers. This last trip there was a gentleman who only spoke Spanish. While sharing the dock with him, conversation was still had, neither of us understood what the other was saying but we all laughed when he asked if Jeremiah spoke Spanish. After Jeremiah counted to 10 in Spanish, the gentleman counted to ten in english and everyone started laughing. |
