Living The Country Life

For me living the country life this means privacy, spending each day doing things that I really enjoy.
Understanding that rural living won't allow me some of the amenities that I could get in the city,
I have found great enjoyment in the process of providing the necessities and activities that make my country living experience an adventure everyday.Living in the country requires an active lifestyle, from doing daily chores, preparing firewood for winter heating, feeding animals both pets and livestock, tending the garden, securing fences, to all the activities that make living the country life so worth while, for me some of them are, fishing, hunting, hiking, seeing everyday what nature has to offer, a simple trip down my country road for a walk or a drive usually includes not only the scenery but usually includes amazing wildlife sightings, from birds, moose, bears, deer, coyotes, this list really is endless.
Maybe I just got lucky, but I think that I have chosen my location here in central B.C. well, it has it all, the four full weather seasons, beautiful and bountiful landscape and wildlife, to a very friendly and generous community.
Living the country life helps you appreciate some of the simpler things, things that make us feel good about ourselves, maybe just getting together on a Saturday at the local farmers market, maybe a work-B at a neighbors or a project or a problem that the community might pull together to help solve, I have participatedin a few, out of control grass fires, a roof that collapsed from a large snow fall over the winter, or even helping a recent widow with fire wood for the winter, sometimes I am surprised how much benefit we receive from helping others and as for this community I can't say enough.
To me it seems like people living in the country have more of an opportunity to stop and smell the flowers, or as I like to say, stop and play with the dog for awhile.
I really enjoy living the country life, I know its not for everyone, but I know its for me.
