Country Travels

Country travel explains how I manage travel and working, I will show you the countries as I travel, the experience's, the costs, the places of interest, this will be my journal over the next couple of years or so, as I live out a dream.

11-11-11

November the 11th 2011

So the journey begins, as of this day, being a 45 year old male, single with no children, and somewhat of sound mind. I have sold or given away everything I owned.

I bought a fixer upper house 4 years ago in Central BC Canada, while I fixed up the place I also started this web site, not sure which was more work, however I enjoyed doing both projects very much, with no prior experience in either. you-tube videos and friends helped me fix up the house, while site build it helped me get this web site started with the confidence I needed, so that now I know I can work from anywhere in the world. And now I get to go find out where that place might be.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my place in Canada, and the life and friends I have there, but this freedom at this time of my life, well it just feels so right.

Let me show you the itinerary I will be starting with, but probably not quite follow exactly, from Canada through the Yucatan Mexico and Central America, for the first leg of my journey.

Here from Vancouver to Toronto Canada to Cancun to Puerto Morelos, cross border to Belize by water taxi to Caye Caulker, from there orange walk, then inland to San Igncio to check out the pine mountain forest reserve and the mayan site Corocal, go caving at the ATM cave before heading to Guatemala, stopping at Flores to check out one of the greatest site in the world Tikal, then to Puerto Barrios for some beach time, from there Guatemala City and Antigua. Then El Salvador for hiking food and the surf of La Liberdad.

In Honduras more ancient ruins of Copen and the colonial capital Tegucigalpa known for its colonial buildings.

Nicaragua to see Granada and Omerte the island volcano in the middle of a huge lake.

Costa Rica for the cloud forest of Monteverde and the active volcano of Arenalan Jose. Over to Manuel Antonio on the Pacific before or after checking out Tortguero on the Carribean beach, then south toward Coreovado, have to see some jungle.

Finally the end of the first leg of this trip will be Panama, hitting the beaches at Bocas Del Toro and the ships passing through the Panama Canal.

I am sort of planning a month or so in each country, and then will add articles to this site with reference to cost and travel and any experience of interest I have.
