My Country Fence

This is a look at how I built my country fence, this was my first fence project, I am very pleased with the end results, all that is left to do is preserve the wood, I am looking up information and planning to do so in the spring. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

There is a lot of hard work in building a fence like this, I want to thank my good friend John for all is help thru the project.

If you ever have to borrow a post pound er like this one, don't be surprised when the owner just smiles when he lends it to you, and also don't be surprised that he won't want payment either, I was very happy to return this tool and I hope to never see one again. Don't get me wrong, this is a great idea for pounding a few posts, but if you have any more than about 5 or 10 see if you can find someone with a tractor or an auger, thanks goodness my neighbor helped me out with his tractor where ever he could get at. I used 200 posts at 9 feet apart for this country fence.

I really enjoy heading to one of many local beaches especially when I heading there for supplies rather than going to town for them.
