Country Camping

This country camping spot located in Central BC Canada, on the shore of Ootsa lake is by far one of the nicest NO PAY campsites I have ever been too.

This campsite was created and is maintained by Alcan, they do a wonderful job of making this spot an unforgettable experience. The sites all come supplied with fire wood, a fire pit and picnic tables, some sites have water and power if you so incline, there is an excellent boat launch, with secure docking, horse shoe pit, and the area is always clean and well maintained.

This country camping spot has has it all from large group camps, lake front spots and you can even hide out in the trees.

This camping spot provides a large barbecue covered area, great for family reunions, or any other large group.

Did I mention this is all a No Pay site, what a great experience...Thank you Alcan.

This picture, sorry about the quality is a mother grizzly bear and her 3 cubs, Ootsa Lake is not only famous for incredible rainbow trout fishing, ( look for my article this fall for September long weekend Ootsa fishing derby ) trout in excess of 10 pounds are not uncommon, this whole area is abundant with wildlife.
